Summer Crochet anyone?

I have rarely seen an item of clothing (Other than a hat or scarf) made in crochet that didn't make me want to run away in horror. There's just something about crochet that didn't seem to click with me when used in garment making. Sure, a crochet flower as an accent, or a crochet border on a cardigan, could past the test, but a full top or sweater, no way!

Then a copy of Rowan's Summer Crochet arrived at the shop and lo and behold, I want everything in it!

I want the top  on the cover...

I want the blue cardi...

I really want the brown poncho thingy...

Yup, I also want the green top... and it goes on and on.

Now I only need to find the time!
